Grades, grades, grades....

Grades are one of those things that are viewed and weighted so differently in every house hold and everyone it is hard to take a step back at look at the concept of grades solely objectively. For me personally grades became much more important in college than they ever were in high school. My parents encouraged us to get good grades, but they also did not lecture us if we goofed up an exam or got a bad grade once in awhile. I think this helped me in the long run because it almost made me want to get good grades for the prise of good grades than to not get bad grades for the lecture of not getting bad grades.

Every student is going to react differently to the grades they receive. I can vividly remember some of the "smarter" students getting a grade such as a 91 or something of that nature, a very good grade, but to them it was just not good enough. I would look down at my 80 and be like wow I am glad I am not such a Debbie Downer about grades.
